In every piece of Heumond Kas you can taste the care with which it was made and its origins in nature. It is a natural cheese made from the best, silo-free and pasteurised hay milk in the region. It has a milky colour in winter and yellow in summer. The natural production process and manual treatment during the three-week maturing period give Heumond Kas its inimitably delicious taste.
With buttermilk, yoghurt and citrus notes, it has a very refreshing aroma. This can also be sensed on the palate, with butter and yoghurt as well as hints of hazelnut. This vital characteristic is supported by the smooth and elastic texture.
